Authorities responded to a single-vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on Blanchard Furrh Road west of Blanchard on Monday.
The victim was identified as 70-year-old James L. Peck Jr.
According to the officials, Peck’s vehicle veered off the road and tumbled into the wooden area. The Sheriff’s deputies noted the wreck by a passerby who spotted the vehicle in the woods.
The coroner’s office pronounced Peck dead at the scene.
No further details regarding the crash are currently available. The crash is under investigation.
