The Dallas Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday night. The accident occurred along the 7600 block of LBJ Freeway at around 12:15 a.m. on Monday.
According to the officials, a white vehicle hit a child who had been lying down on the road. The officials were called to the scene and were able to determine that the child was hit by a vehicle before the white vehicle.
The child was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the child has not been disclosed at this time. The driver of the white vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the scene.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available.
