A child, a teenage girl and five adults suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle accident Monday at an intersection in west Phoenix.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of 71st Avenue and Thomas Road after getting reports of a four-vehicle pile-up. On arrival, emergency crews found seven injured people that required medical aid.
Two patients were freed from their vehicle. All the victims were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries. The identities of the patients have not been revealed. The events that have led up to the wreck remain unclear at this time. No additional information has been provided by the officials.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
