69-Year-Old Michael Cantwell Sturgis Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Tucson (Tucson, AZ)

The Tucson Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Thursday. 

The accident happened at the intersection of Grant Road and Craycroft Road at around 8:30 a.m.

The collision involved two vehicles.  

A white 2021 Ford Expedition was going to make a left turn into the southbound lanes of Craycroft Road while traveling west on Grant Road toward the intersection when it was struck by a Lexus sedan traveling east. 

Both drivers were transported to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries. The officials have reported that one of the drivers was identified as an 18-year-old boy. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 69-year-old Michael Cantwell Sturgis, incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No citations or arrests have been made yet for the fatal crash.
