The San Marcos Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday early morning. The accident happened on State Highway 123 at around 1 a.m.
A delivery truck struck a Nixon resident who has since been identified as 69-year-old Lenard Green Coleman. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the SMPD, a silver SUV struck Coleman after the initial collision when it came from Ebony Street and turned left onto State Highway 123.
SMPD said it’s looking for the driver of this silver SUV in connection with a fatal crash. That driver also did not stop to help.
Although the delivery truck driver has been identified but not yet charged, they claimed that they did not stop to assist the man.
