69-year-old David Valles, 67-year-old Elia DelaCruz Valles, and a 90-year-old man dead in a car crash (El Paso, TX)

On Thursday, authorities identified 69-year-old David Valles, 67-year-old Elia DelaCruz Valles, and a 90-year-old man as the three victims who were killed following a two-vehicle accident at a Lower Valley intersection the day prior.

The fatal car accident took place Wednesday afternoon at North Loop Drive and Lee Trevino Drive at around 1:45 p.m. Police confirmed that all the people who died were riding in the SUV. They identified the victims as 69-year-old David Valles who was the driver of the SUV, and the two passengers, including 67-year-old Elia DelaCruz Valles, and a 90-year-old man who is yet to be identified.

The investigation reports showed that the SUV was speeding when it ran a red light and slammed into a semi-truck. Fire crews had to utilize the ‘jaws of life’ to free two of the deceased from the SUV while the third victim was found outside the vehicle. The driver of the truck, identified as 59-year-old Daniel Barrio Baray of Midland, was transported to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries. No other details are provided.

An investigation continues.
