On Saturday night, a 68-year-old woman lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in Stanton.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Dale Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle hit a 68-year-old female pedestrian who was walking in a marked crosswalk.

The vehicle left the scene without stopping after the collision. On arrival, emergency personnel transported the woman to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The hit-and-run vehicle was described as small and possibly dark green. No further details were provided.
