According to the Temple Police Department, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Temple on Thursday.
The crash happened along E. Ave. H at around 8:23 a.m.
According to the Police, a Ford Flex SUV and a truck were involved in the collision.
The driver of the Ford traveling eastbound swerved into the path of the truck and struck the truck.
A 68-year-old man was identified as the driver of the Ford who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigators are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
The Deputies provided no additional information regarding the fatal crash.
