The Long Beach Police reported a motor vehicle crash that left a motorist dead in Long Beach on Friday. The accident occurred near Sixth Street and Santiago Avenue.
On Friday roughly at 10:11 a.m., a motorist driving at a high speed took the wrong side of the road and slammed into a parked car.
The driver was thrown off the vehicle and rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. Sadly, he succumbed to them and was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased driver is not disclosed yet.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
