The Pima County Sheriff’s Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday. The collision involved only one vehicle. The accident happened close to Marana.
68-year-old Joseph Hammons collided with a vehicle close to the intersection of El Tiro and Cocio roads. The authorities have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicles involved.
According to the authorities, Hammoms was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not yet known if the occupants of the other vehicle were injured in the collision.
Multiple alcohol bottles were discovered in Hammons’ car, according to the PCSD, and he had an alcoholic odor. Speeding was also a factor involved.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. No additional details regarding the crash are available currently.
