According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Antelope Valley on Thursday. The crash happened at Avenue J and 200th Street East.
According to the investigators, a 2011 Ford van and a 68-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the Ford Van traveling westbound struck the woman who was standing outside of her disabled 2004 Toyota.
The woman was identified as 68-year-old Elsa Guzman who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the deputies, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. The fatal crash is being investigated by the Antelope Police. There are no other details available at this time.
