67-year-old Otila Retel Azanedo de Jones and 85-year-old William Jones died after a crash in Everett (Everett, WA)

Officials identified 67-year-old Otila Retel Azanedo de Jones and 85-year-old William Jones, both from Everett, as the victims who lost their lives following a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in Everett.

The fatal car crash took place a little before 4 p.m. on West Mukilteo Boulevard near Forest Drive. According to the investigation reports, Otila Retel Azanedo de Jones and William Jones were riding in a Honda sedan when their vehicle crashed into a Chevrolet Tahoe.

Azanedo de Jones and Jones succumbed to their injuries at the scene. They both died from blunt force injuries, officials said on Monday. The Chevrolet driver was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in serious condition. Alcohol, drugs or speed were not believed to have contributed to the accident.

An investigation continues.
