According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Sacramento on Thursday. The crash happened on southbound Interstate 5, north of J Street at around 9:30 p.m.
According to the investigators, a Toyota, a Lexus, a Ford F-150, and a Hyundai were involved in the collision. The driver of the Toyota rear-ended the Lexus. The driver of the Ford traveling southbound swerved to avoid the Toyota and also pulled into the center divider. The officials stated that the driver of the Hyundai didn’t see the stopped Toyota and rear-ended it.
According to the reports, a 67-year-old Toyota front passenger suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sacramento Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
