The Novi Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday. 

The accident occurred on Novi Road near Trans X Road. 

According to the officials, a 6-year-old man from Novi was driving north on the road when he hit a black ice patch and spun out of the road. 

The vehicle then veered into oncoming traffic where he was hit by an 80-year-old woman. 

The 67-year-old man was taken to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

The cause of the fatal accident was revealed to be the ice patch. 

The police have reported several other accidents in the same area due to similar causes. 

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed. 

There are no other details available at this time.
