66-year-old Stephen Gal hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident on US-12 in Walla Walla County (Burbank, WA)

Authorities identified 66-year-old Stephen Gal, of Tacoma, as the man who received injuries after a traffic collision Friday morning on US-12 in Walla Walla County.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place at about 6:20 a.m. Friday. The preliminary reports showed that both vehicles were heading west on US-12 when Stephen Gal, 66, veered to avoid debris in the road and lost control of his car.

Then, Gal’s car crashed into a semi-truck going west on US-12 in Burbank. The crash blocked traffic on US-12 and led to delays early Friday morning. Gal was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco in unknown condition. The driver of the semi-truck remained unharmed in the wreck. Gal faces improper lane usage charges. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
