The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a multi-vehicle accident in Coryell County on Wednesday. The accident occurred on TX 236, along the Coryell/Bell County Line at around 2:20 p.m.
According to the officials, a Dodge Ram and a Ford F-350 were involved in the collision. The Dodge had been heading north on the highway while the Ford had been heading west on Highway 36. The Dodge failed to yield the right of way and crashed into the Ford.
A passenger of the Dodge was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the victim to be 66-year-old Patricia Fischer Shaw.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
