The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Tehachapi that claimed the life of a 66-year-old man on Saturday. The accident occurred on Melsetter Road, east of Tanganda.
Approximately at 12:14 p.m., a 66-year-old man driving a vehicle eastbound on the road lost control of the vehicle. It swerved off the road and landed in an embankment. The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
