The Riverside Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday morning. The accident happened close to the Indiana Avenue and Madison Street intersection at around 12:15 a.m.
When police and emergency personnel arrived, they found a motorcyclist who had suffered severe injuries. The motorcycle rider had turned in front of a 2010 Lexus sedan on Indiana Avenue, according to investigators.
At the scene, that person was pronounced dead. They have only been identified as a 66-year-old Riverside resident. The Lexus driver and two other passengers did not sustain any injuries. Moderate injuries were sustained by the motorcycle’s back passenger.
According to police, the Lexus stayed put and has been helping with the investigation of the fatal crash.
