66-Year-Old Leticia Lancaster-Valois Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Santa Fe County (Santa Fe County, NM)

The New Mexico State Police reported a multi-vehicle accident in Santa Fe County on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 285, north of Clines Corners at around 2 p.m. 

According to the officials, a 2015 Lexus was headed south on the highway when it attempted to overtake the vehicle in front of it. This put it in the path of a 2020 Ford F150 that had been heading north, causing the two vehicles to crash. 

The passenger of the Lexus was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified her as 66-year-old Leticia Lancaster-Valois. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
