A fatal crash occurred in Temple, Texas, claiming the life of a 66-year-old man identified as Jimmy Louis Crathers. The incident took place on December 8, south of the Avenue H overpass around 3:21 p.m.
According to Temple Police, initial investigations suggest that the driver attempted a U-turn in the middle of the loop, resulting in a collision with another vehicle. The driver making the U-turn was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger in that car was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the other vehicle reported no serious injuries.
In response to the multi-vehicle accident, southbound lanes on the loop were temporarily closed, with traffic diverted to East Adams Avenue. The case is currently under investigation by Temple Police.
