Authorities responded to a motor vehicle crash in Northside Drive, Macon at around 1:30 pm, on Monday that claimed a life.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office stated that the crash happened on Northside Drive near its intersection with Athens Drive.
According to the investigators, the 66-Year-Old Jackie Polk, was traveling southward on Northside Drive in a Chevy Cruze,.
Polk car crossed over to the northbound lanes, left the roadway and struck a tree.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
No further information regarding the crash is currently available.
The crash is being investigated.
