The woman who was killed in a hit-and-accident on Tuesday in Arlington Heights was identified as 66-year-old Bibiana Retana Sosa by the officials.
Approximately at 6:40 a.m., Sosa was crossing the road northbound on Venice. She was struck by a White Mazda that was travelling east. Rosa was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene as a result. The vehicle fled the scene before the officials could arrive.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
