A tragedy struck Mesa on Tuesday night as a woman lost her life after being struck by a driver near the main entrance of an RV resort. The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Sharon Rae Blakley.
The pedestrian accident occurred around 7:15 p.m. at Mesa Regal, located near Greenfield Road and Main Street. Sadly, Blakley succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Details surrounding the crash remain unclear, but authorities believe speed may have played a role.
As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident. Following the tragedy, the main entrance of the RV resort was temporarily closed to facilitate police investigations. Authorities continue their inquiries into the circumstances of the fatal crash.
