The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Spokane Valley. The accident happened at around 11:40 a.m.
The driver of a 2007 Chevy Silverado was traveling east on Trent Avenue while Medical Lake resident Sandra Albertson, 65 was traveling south on Flora Road on a motorbike. Albertson attempted to cross the Chevy, but the truck in the eastbound right lane of Trent ran into her.
Albertson passed away on the spot.
According to WSP Trooper Ryan Senger, Albertson did not give the truck the right-of-way, but the truck driver is not currently facing any charges. According to WSP, there was no use of alcohol or drugs in the fatal crash.
For three and a half hours, Trent’s eastbound lanes were at least partially blocked.
