A tragic hit-and-run crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Reginald Puryear in Cleveland early Tuesday morning. Puryear, a resident of Cleveland, was struck by a car while crossing the intersection of E. 55th Street and Superior Avenue around 12:50 a.m.
Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Cleveland police have identified the suspect vehicle as a black Ford Escape based on evidence gathered at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in this devasting crash.
