A tragic motor vehicle accident unfolded in Van Zandt County last week as 65-year-old Michael Miller lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 64. The Department of Public Safety reported that the fatal incident occurred just 5 miles east of Canton on December 27 at around 4 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, Miller was driving a 2022 Nissan Sentra east on SH 64 when he departed from the roadway, colliding with a concrete culvert. Despite the swift response, Miller succumbed to the injuries sustained in the fatal crash.
Authorities have stated that the investigation into this fatal incident is ongoing as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
