65-year-old man dead after a three-vehicle wreck in Ada Township (Forest Hills, MI)

On Tuesday morning, a 65-year-old man lost his life following a multi-vehicle accident in Ada Township.

As per the initial information, the fatal three-vehicle wreck took place after 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of M-21 and Spaulding Avenue. The early reports showed that the driver of dump truck carrying sand ignored a red light and slammed into two vehicles that were turning southbound onto Spaulding.

The driver of one of those vehicles, a 65-year-old man from Ada, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The dump truck’s driver and the other driver involved remained unharmed in the accident. The intersection of M-21 and Spaulding Avenue was shut down as crews worked at the scene, but has since reopened. No other details are immediately available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
