According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers, a hit-and-run accident was reported on Friday in Freeston County. 

The officials stated that a Central Texas Man identified as Ervin Daniels, 65, of Buffalo died in the crash. 

The incident happened on Interstate Highway 45, south of Fairfield at around 3:45 p.m. 

Ryan Howard, a trooper of Texas DPS reported that the vehicle fled the scene. 

Officials stated that the suspect is on the run. 

No additional information regarding the suspects identity or vehicle’s information was provided. 

The fatal crash is being investigated by the Texas DPS.
