The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident on Thursday morning. The accident happened close to Old Olympic Highway and Oyster Bay.
A 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck was being driven south when it veered off the road to the left. The truck hit a tree after crossing over a cable barrier and the northbound lanes of the road, according to the memo. On the right shoulder of the northbound lanes of the highway, the truck came to rest.
The 65-Year-Old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He allegedly buckled up, but his truck was totalled. His identity has not been disclosed at this time.
According to the memo, the road was closed for nearly three hours. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials.
