65-Year-Old Benjamin Ernst Killed In A Motorcycle Crash In Dayton (Dayton, OH)

In a tragic incident in Dayton on Tuesday afternoon, a 65-year-old man lost his life in a motorcycle crash involving a semi-trailer. The victim, identified as Benjamin Ernst by Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dayton police responded to the crash at Needmore Road and Brentlinger Drive around 1:45 p.m.

Ernst, who was riding the motorcycle, was not wearing a helmet, as reported by police. Fortunately, there were no other injuries. The crash led to the closure of Needmore Road between Hollywood Boulevard and Webster Street, but the road reopened by approximately 5 p.m.

The Dayton Police Department Traffic Services Unit is conducting an investigation into the incident.
