On Monday afternoon, a 64-year-old woman lost her life following a traffic collision while officers arrested Breteny Grosvener.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at about 1:00 p.m. on Manning and Elm Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that an SUV carrying three people, who had just stolen mails from a mailbox in the area, ignored a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle. On arrival, emergency responders declared the driver of the second vehicle deceased.
Authorities identified the SUV driver as 30-year-old Breteny Grosvener, and her passengers, as Chris Diaz and Jason Wheeler. Grosvener was charged with felony vehicular manslaughter. Officers arrested Wheeler at the scene for interfering with the investigation. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
