64-Year-Old Willard Bateman Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Austin (Austin, TX)

In a tragic pedestrian accident, 64-year-old Willard Bateman lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Airport Boulevard in East Austin. The fatal crash occurred last Friday, Dec. 22, around 6:49 p.m., in the 2200 block of Airport Boulevard near the Manor Road intersection, as reported by the Austin Police Department. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered Bateman fatally injured, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The driver, who has not been identified, remained at the collision site and is reportedly cooperating with investigators.

Authorities have confirmed that the driver was not intoxicated. There are no other details available at this time.
