64-year-old motorcyclist dead in a solo-vehicle crash, just north of Snohomish (Snohomish, WA)

On Sunday afternoon, a 64-year-old man, a resident of Mountlake Terrace, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in Snohomish.

The officials actively responded to the crash scene near the 6800 block of Machias Road just north of Snohomish at about 2:20 p.m. According to the reports, the motorcyclist was going on S. Machias Road when he missed a curve, continued straight and crashed a short distance off the roadway. The bike rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The road was shut down for several hours Sunday afternoon while crews investigated the crash. As of now, there are no signs of speed, drugs, or alcohol being involved in the collision. The identity of the deceased will be revealed after notifying the next of kin. The cause and manner of the death are pending from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The cause of the crash is under active investigation at this time.
