According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Westminster.
Officials confirmed that one person died and one person was critically injured due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at Trask Avenue.
A black Camaro was chased by the Sheriff’s deputies for fraudulent tags.
The Camaro ran a red light and slammed into a black BMW.
The two people inside the BMW were taken to a hospital after the wreck.
The driver of the BMW, a 64-year-old man, later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
The passenger in the BMW, identified as a 54-year-old man was in a critical, but stable condition in the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the OCSD.
