On Tuesday, a 64-year-old man was killed in a four-vehicle crash 20 miles outside Kermit. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Jimmy Paul Walker, 64, was travelling east on State Highway 302 in a Ford F-250.
Walker drifted onto the westbound lane, sideswiping a Ford F-350 driven by a 25-year-old man from Hobbs, New Mexico.
The other vehicle involved in the crash was driven by a 30-year-old man from Odessa riding a Dodge Ram 3500, who took action to the right and sideswiped Walker.
Walker collided with a Volvo truck tractor driven by a 45-year-old man from Levelland.
Walker was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
According to DPS, all the drivers were wearing seat belts.
