A fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Sunday night, April 21, in the 2900 block of North Bolton Avenue, as reported by the Alexandria Police Department. Gary Joseph, 64, of Alexandria, tragically lost his life while attempting to cross the northbound lane around 9:40 p.m.
He was struck by a vehicle and transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Toxicology tests were conducted on the driver of the vehicle involved. The incident remains under investigation by APD.
Anyone with information regarding this crash is urged to contact the authorities. It is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
