The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Grimes County on Sunday. The accident happened on FM 149, nine miles east of Anderson.
A 2003 Harley Davidson Road Glide was being driven by 64-Year-Old David Shelton Russell of Katy, according to a DPS spokesman. When Russell took a left turn and veered off the road, the motorbike crashed.
Russel was pronounced dead at the scene as he had incurred fatal injuries in the crash. He was wearing a helmet, according to troopers who were investigating.
It is unsure whether drugs or alcohol are a factor involved or not. The fatal crash is still being investigated by officials.
