The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a pedestrian accident in Marana on Friday. The accident occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10. 

According to the officials, a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in a collision. Witnesses reported that a woman had run out into the freeway which put her in the path of a moving westbound semi. 

The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim, a 63-year-old woman, has not been disclosed at this time. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
