A fatal crash occurred in Nacogdoches on Wednesday, detailed in a Texas DPS report. A Nacogdoches woman was driving a Honda Pilot north on U.S. 59 near North Stallings Drive around 2:40 p.m.
As she made an unsafe turn in front of a Freightliner semi-truck also travelling north, the two vehicles collided. Tragically, the woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. She has since been identified as Thelia Seelbach, 63.
The condition of the semi-truck driver, who received on-site treatment, was not reported.
The multi-vehicle accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
