The Amarillo Police Department reported a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred near Interstate 40 and Grand Street at around 11 a.m.
According to the officials, three vehicles were involved in the collision. A black Toyota FJ Cruiser crashed into a red Pontiac G6. The SUV then hit a white F-150 that was facing Grand.
The driver of the Pontiac was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The officials have since identified her as 63-year-old Catherine White.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs playeed a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
