62-year-old Thomas Kile and 55-year-old Matthew Wieck dead after a head-on crash in Bremerton (Bremerton, WA)

Authorities identified 62-year-old Thomas Kile and his passenger, 55-year-old Matthew Wieck, as the victims who lost their lives following a head-on collision Saturday night in Bremerton.

The fatal car crash took place in the 5700 block of Kitsap Way, near the AAA Building. According to the investigation reports, the 62-year-old was driving a Chevrolet Camaro east on the road, when he failed to maintain control of the car and swerved into the oncoming lanes. Just then, his car crashed into a GMC Yukon driven by a 43-year-old man.

The driver of the Yukon incurred only minor injuries. The 43-year-old estimated that the Camaro was driving 60 to 80 mph in what is a 35-mph zone. Authorities on Monday identified the deceased as Thomas Kile, of Bremerton and Matthew Wieck. Autopsies were scheduled for Monday afternoon. No other details are available.

An investigation continues.
