The Tucson Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday. The accident occurred in the area of East Golf Links Road and South Palm Springs Drive at around 4:30 p.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A white 2004 Ford Crown Victoria was headed east on Gilkf Links Road when the driver lost control. This caused the vehicle to crash into a tree in the median.
The driver of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified the victim as 62-year-old Terry McCray.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
