According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Pine Valley on Monday. The crash happened on Buckman Springs Road at around 2:30 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 1997 Toyota Tacoma and a 2015 Toyota Tacoma were involved in the collision. The driver of the 2015 Toyota traveling northbound crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed head-on.
A 62-year-old was identified as the 1997 Toyota driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
Some portions of Buckman Springs Road are blocked for further investigation. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
