61-year-old woman killed after being hit by a vehicle in Oakland (Oakland, CA)

On Saturday morning, a 61-year-old woman lost her life following an auto-pedestrian collision in Oakland.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 2:15 a.m. in the 9900 block of International Boulevard. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle hit a 61-year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the road outside a marked crosswalk. The vehicle left the scene after the collision.

The pedestrian, identified only as a Pittsburg resident, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Authorities offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information that will lead to the arrest of the hit-and-run suspect. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
