In a tragic motor vehicle accident over the New Year’s weekend, 61-year-old Veronica Sandoval of Anaheim lost her life in a car crash on a Chula Vista freeway bridge. The fatal accident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Sandoval lost control of her southbound vehicle on Interstate 805, just south of Telegraph Canyon Road. The car veered to the right, crashed off the overpass at East Naples Street, and landed on the roadway below.
Sandoval was fatally injured and was pronounced dead in the fatal crash. She was later identified by the authorities. The circumstances leading to the loss of control remain under investigation by authorities.
