A 61-year-old man from Bremerton died after being hit while attempting to cross State Route 308 in Kitsap County. The pedestrian accident occurred on State Route 308 at Vincent Road,
According to the officials, a man and a vehicle were involved in a collision. A 35-year-old woman from Lakebay, Washington, was driving a 2018 Honda CRV westbound when she struck the pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway from the shoulder.
The fatal crash critically injured the man, and he was later pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center. Washington State Patrol investigated the incident, blocking the roadway for over two hours. While there is no indication of drug or alcohol involvement, the death is still under investigation.
