The Marshall Police Department reported a tragic incident on Friday in which a woman lost her life in a collision. The fatal crash occurred in the 1200 block of East Grand Avenue and implicated at least one pedestrian along with a motor vehicle.
According to the officials, a woman and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The events leading up to this are not entirely clear at this time.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have since identified her as 61-year-old Leslie Rumbold. There has been no further information disclosed regarding the vehicle involved.
The pedestrian accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
