On Sunday afternoon, a 60-year-old, from Belfair, suffered injuries following a traffic collision in Kitsap County.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at around 3:30 PM on State Route 3 near Newberry Hill. The early reports revealed that a car tried to change from the right lane to the left lane on northbound SR-3. Just then, the left rear of the car crashed into the front right of an SUV.
The force of the collision caused the driver of the car to lose control as a result of which the vehicle went into the median and flipped several times before ending up on its wheel. A passenger in the car, a 60-year-old Belfair woman, was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital in Bremerton with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the car, a 48-year-old Belfair man and the driver of the SUV, a 19-year-old Silverdale man, remained unharmed in the accident. Officials stated that the cause of the crash was an improper lane change. No other details are immediately available.
