In a tragic fatal crash, a man was fatally struck by a big rig at a Los Angeles intersection. The victim, identified as Terry Carter, 60, who was homeless, was hit around 2:20 p.m.
Saturday in the 1600 block of North Vermont Avenue. Despite efforts to save him, Carter succumbed to his injuries at the scene. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred as the big rig turned west onto Hollywood Boulevard, striking Carter in the process.
The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The pedestrian accident serves as a somber reminder of the hazards faced by pedestrians on bustling city streets, highlighting the ongoing importance of road safety measures.
