A tragic incident occurred last Friday in Northwest Austin involving a 2-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of 60-year-old Tawnya Sanders, as reported by the Austin Police Department.

The crash took place on March 22 at around 9:33 p.m. in the 6200 block of North Capital of Texas Highway Southbound. Upon responding to the scene, emergency responders found one person pinned in their vehicle, requiring rescue.

EMS immediately performed CPR, but unfortunately, Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
